Covid-19 Information 25/08/21

Your child MUST NOT attend school if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

The most important symptoms of COVID-19 are recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell

For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above, even if your symptoms are mild, stay at home and arrange to have a PCR test.

If your child begins to display these symptoms in school, we will contact you and you MUST come to collect your child immediately and you will be advised to get a PCR test.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19 they must stay at home and self-isolate for 10 days.

As part of Step 4 of the Government’s COVID-19 roadmap, those that are fully vaccinated or are under 18yrs and 6mths will NOT be required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19 or are identified as a close contact.

This means that if there is a positive case in school, we will no longer close a class bubble. You will be informed and provided with advice on testing, and given guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19.
