School Council
School Council and Eco Committee
Our School Council is led by Miss Frearson and is made up of a boy and a girl from each class, from Year 1 to Year 6 voted for by their classmates. We sometimes invite visitors in to talk to us and the children are encouraged to raise issues that are important to them. In the past we have been responsible for designing our new trim trails. We were interviewed by some members of our local neighbourhood advisory board about how to improve our community. We also had our own stall at the Curriculum Evening and the two school fetes selling exciting toys to raise money for our school fund.
Our Eco Council are our School Council but are wearing their ‘Eco hats’. It is led by our Eco Co-ordinator Mrs Richardson. We meet every two weeks to discuss key Eco issues that are important in our school and give the children the opportunity to put their views across, taking the minutes and chairing some of the meetings. We then feedback what we have been up too to the whole school in assemblies and our minutes get displayed on the School Council noticeboard, a copy is kept in every class in their School Council folder to share with their class and the minutes are also available here on the website.
Keep a close eye on our weekly newsletter as we also put lots on there to do with our Eco Council.
Our main projects for this year:-
