Home Learning School Council
School Council and Eco Committee
Our School Council is led by Miss Davies and is made up of a boy and a girl from each class, from Year 1 to Year 6 voted for by their classmates. We sometimes invite visitors in to talk to us and the children are encouraged to raise issues that are important to them. In the past we have been responsible for designing our new trim trails. We were interviewed by some members of our local neighbourhood advisory board about how to improve our community. We have also had our own stall at the Curriculum Evening and two school fetes selling exciting toys to raise money for our school fund.
Our Eco Council are our School Council but are wearing their ‘Eco hats’. It is led by our Eco Co-ordinator Mrs Bradley. We meet regularly to discuss key Eco issues that are important in our school and give the children the opportunity to put their views across, taking the minutes and chairing some of the meetings. We then feedback what we have been up to by feeding back to our classes and displaying our minutes on the School Council noticeboard. A copy is kept in every class in their School Council folder to share with their class.
Our main projects for this year:-
